Pretty much like other cities, the houses were made up of mud bricks. What are mud bricks? They are cubes of mud dried by the sun. water was very important for the Indus people because 9 of 10 were farmers. The mains streets were about 10 meters wide, enough for letting past carts. The Indus Valley was separated in many villages, it was a very large civilization but we do not know if the Indus Valley had kings. It seems that nothing much changed for hundreds of years.
